The messages are a form of time-travel: the British members are eight
hours ahead of the California members, so one time Neil and I were logged
on at the same time when he had just
gotten up and I was just reaching my bedtime. I'm trying to calculate
whether he would be just getting home from work when I'm just arriving
at work.
