Hogwarts may be secure, but it certainly isn't impenetrable. I was
thinking earlier about a nonexhaustive list of all teh ways people
have gotten to Hogwarts without taking the train & then a boat or the
"horseless carriage" -
Owls fly in all the time
Sirius, as Padfoot, walked right on in
Harry & Ron flew in
Charlie Weasley's friends flew in on broomsticks and out with a dragon
Buckbeak flew out
Bugs, including possibly Rita the Skeeter : ) fly in & out
There are those hidden passageways to Hogsmede
Plus, Hermione can 'Magic" herself back in time one, two or three hours -
maybe even more (we don't know)
In other words, while there are likely wards to prevent someone from
apparating right into the castle, there's a whole bunch of other ways
in & out.
