Salut !
No spoilers here since I haven't read GoF yet (but that's going to happen
very soon - thanks Neil ! - and Kristen too). But this also means that
there might be elements in it that would answer my questions or even
make them pointless. If so please tell me (and I don't mind spoilers).
1. What was Pr. Trelawney's first true prediction about ? ( When Harry
mentions the seizure she had during his divination test, Dumbledore says
that "That brings her total of real predictions up to two")
2. Invisibility cloaks are rare and expensive. How did James Potter
acquire his ?
3. How come neither Lupin nor Black are afraid to pronounce Voldemort's
name out loud while even Pettigrew is ?
4. Does it say anywhere which house James and co belonged to ? From what
I've read on this site ( but I haven't read every single message back
from the very first one), the general assumption would be Gryffindor. But
from what I've read in the books, it might as well be Slytherin !
- First of all James and Sirius were such a pair of trouble-makers that
the only comparison Hagrid can come up with is the Weasley twins !
- That would explain Snape's jealousy of James's talent at Quidditch :
James had made it to the team and led it to victory, while Snape was
forced to sit and watch !
- The gang *does* meet the Sorting Hat's definition :
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends
( and so they did )
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends
( just think of the Marauder's Map ! )
- There's also Hagrid saying in PS :"There's not a single witch or
wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin". Had he forgotten about
Sirius Black ? ( And note that he didn't say that no good witch or
wizard could come out of Slytherin )
- And finally didn't the Sorting Hat want to put Harry in Slytherin ?
Its just a theory but it gets me so confused ...
A plus !
