a wand or a potion or anything. From what we've seen, all Animagi have
this abilitiy.
I'd imagine that Transfiguration requires a more complicated spell --
i.e. using a wand and magic words. Also, I'm guessing a counter-spell
is needed to return the person/animal into their original form, whereas
Animagi can do it at will and instantly.
