we've discovered that often the tiniest details turn out to be important,
I'd just like to know if the fonts were picked at random or were they

The interesting thing about this for the PoU fans out there is that Lori
seems to have been prescient about Harry's handwriting as well. She
described it as "slanted spiky" handwriting, and I think the GoF font
can be described as such. It's back-slanted and a bit spiky I think.
