On the subject of name origins, this has probably been mentioned
before, but I've always thought that Neville is an allusion to Neville
Chamberlain. What do you all think? <<<<<

If anybody resembles Neville Chamberlain, it's Cornelius Fudge. I
sincerely hope OUR Neville was not named after the British politician
who failed to take strong enough action against the rise of Hitler. I
think OUR Neville (Longbottom) has a very important role to play in the
future of Harry Potter, and that he will prove himself worthy of his House
(Gryffindor) and his parents.
