Oooh, I wish I could con my job like that. We tried to get a weekend in
Vancouver BC out of them, and somehow it turned into a week-long exile to
South Carolina! (much more distant, much more expensive, worse weather,
and not the home of my friend Casey).

Could one of these be Hogwarts?

Look at the picture... there are not 7 turrets, but it could well be
what Hogwarts is based on, as it's not far from Jo's home.

It has a "The Great Hall". The Hall with its large fireplace makes a
splendid setting for functions, seating up to 60 guests.

So... how many pupils do you think there are at Hogwarts at a time? 60
sounds a good number to me!

Could Ballencrieff be Hogwarts?

The exact location is known and produces the following Sunrise/Sunset.

September 1st 1999
Sunset - 19:03

Mid June (do we know the date when Hermione went back in time?)
19th June 1999
Sunset - 20:51

But... a train today would only take 4 and a half hours to get from
Kings Cross to Edinburgh - though what's to say that the Steam Train
used in the books goes the same speed as the trains today!

Hi all
How about this Scotish Castle...

I wonder if it could pass for being Hogwarts?
