You are correct. The difference of GMT and CST is -6 hours. But the
difference of GMT and CDT is -5 hours. Currently, in the US we are
going by CDT in the Central Time Zone. Your country may not have such
a thing. Your computer probably is taking this into account (mine does).
Remember, according to Nick, London isn't using GMT at the moment. They
are using BST (British Summer Time) which is similar to our Daylight
Savings Time. Later in the year Britain will switch back to GMT (and I
will later switch from CDT to CST). Exactly when that later is, I rather
not even think about that now.
