Chapter 4 - Back to the Burrow.

This chapter finds Harry packed up and ready for the Weasleys'
arrival. Uncle Vernon has dressed in his best suit, not to honor the
Weasleys, but to intimidate them. Meanwhile, Dudley is going out of his
way to protect his backside, remembering the pig's tail from his last
encounter with an adult wizard (Hagrid).

Finally, Arthur, Fred, George and Ron Weasley arrive in the fire place,
via floo powder. Unfortunately, the Dursleys' fireplace has been boarded
up, trapping the Weasleys in. Mr. Weasley explodes the fireplace,
freeing himself and his sons--and making a mess of Mrs. Dursley's
overly-immaculate living room. While Fred and George go upstairs to
collect Harry's trunk, Arthur apologizes to the Dursleys, and assures
them that he will fix everything before he Disapparates. But they simply
look at him as though he's mad.

The twins return with the trunk, and Arthur makes a fire in the ruined
fireplace, and throws in some floo powder to send the boys back to the
Burrow (the Weasleys' house). On his way to the fireplace, Fred drops
a bag of candies, hastily picking them up before going into the fire,
and disappearing to the Burrow. George and Ron follow, also vanishing
in the fireplace.

As Harry starts into the fireplace, all chaos breaks loose. A
sweet-deprived Dudley has eaten one of the candies Fred dropped (and
"accidentally" missed picking up). Now Dudley's tongue has grown a
foot, and is still growing. Arthur tries to reassure the Dursleys,
and to reverse the effects of Fred's candy. But Vernon and Petunia,
shield Dudley from Arthur's wand.

The last thing Harry sees before floo-powdering to the Burrow, is Aunt
Petunia yanking Dudley's tongue (now four feet long), and Uncle Vernon
throwing nick-nacks at Harry and Arthur.

OK, discuss away.

Melanie
