Hi All

Thanks Neil for the details on costume makers.

Warner Brothers (London) called me this morning. I was cooking breakfast,
so the answerphone took the call. Below is a transcript - for anyone
who is interested.

Thank you for your letter dated 4th June, regarding our Kinston Store
and the information on Harry Potter. What I will do is send you a letter
in the post. The reason the stores don't have the information is that
there is a huge confidentiality agreement with the UK. We will be having
the merchandise, but slightly later than the US. The US is due in July /
August time, the actual website is run from the US - we don't have a UK
website at present.

We will be receiving our stock ready for this Christmas. We are aware
obviously of the rights and the merchandising rights we have secured
around the Harry Potter books. As of yet the stores are not allowed
to release information regarding the marketing for the UK this holiday
season.

I will re-irritate everything in a letter to you. I hope this is
satisfactory. If you have any more queries, please contact me direct on
**** ******* alternatively I will send you my address on the letter.

So... it appears that you lucky lot in the US can have the mugs, tshirts
etc... but us here in the UK have to wait till Christmas - or so WB
thinks! WB are fueling the black market with this sort of policy. Why
on earth are they holding back release in the UK til christmas, when
they are not doing the same in the US?
