First, I wish to commend you on your choice of using capitals and
punctuation. It really looks good, and helps us all out here.

Second, maybe dad is trying to get your goat by calling you Dudley. If
he's not a real tempermental guy, you should point out to him that that
would make him Mr. Dursley indeed. :)

Third, on houses. Although the sorting hat does put you where you want to
be, the houses do seem to attract certain types to them. This isn't exact
though, and sometimes the hat seems to find something deep inside a person
to put them someplace when another house seems more appropriate on the
outside. Gryffindor gets those with a strong and courageous heart quite
often, even when they may seem more apt for another house. Hufflepuff
gets those who caring and kindness are their primary traits. Ravenclaw
seems to get those whom knowledge is quite important, often the bookish
types, although obviously in Hermione's case this isn't always where
they end up. Slytherin seems to get those who lust for power, and to
whom power is more important than most else, or maybe even all else. Just
my observations. The sorting hat had something to say about this in the
first book as well, but since all of my books are on loan to my friends,
I can't look it up for you. :)

Have a magical day!
