You seem to be very intelligent and articulate, especially for a 16 year
old, and I, personally, am glad to have your perspective on this group.

You do not sound much like Dudley Dursley to me. I think that your
father is probably saying that because, from his perspective, you have
so many more possessions than he had when he was your age. Parents never
seem to think that their children are as grateful as they should be for
their computers, stereos, tvs, etc. My guess is that he is just blowing
off steam and trying to be funny. Just thank him every now and then,
buy him a Fathers Day present, and humor him. Thats all we old farts
are really asking for.
