Skimmel, I hope you don't find this offensive. I am a full-time student,
type 80wpm, and yes, I do make mistakes, and a "chatter" in the RP
world. There is a tendency there to not use the uppercased letters as
speed is important--the opponent tends to kill you if you take that extra
stroke to find the shift key. Yes, I know, that in postings one should
take extra time to proofread one's work. That's the problem we had in
another club. A few people started criticizing people's posting skills,
and soon we lost a few good people. One explained about (SP?) dyxclesia,
and said that she had a problem putting the letters in the right order
sometimes. Until Yahoo came up with a "spell-check" system, she hoped
we would understand and roll with it.

I will apologize now for any laspes in ' in contractions--I do have a
tendency to forget that (again, the chat rooms seem to have forgotten
it). As for taking the time out for "WORD" creation/spellchecking? I
am taking 11 credit hours this 8 week term--which translates into 22
during the regular year due to the one week=one class acceration of the
summer term. I don't always have time to devote to cutting/pasting posts
between the two! It's a great idea, but there's so much on my plate,
I haven't room for the peach pie!

Looks down to notice that, yes, she is standing on a soapbox? Excuses
herself, and jumps down--becoming a bit boring! Sorry folks for the
length. Just wanted people to understand that all spelling mistakes
and punctuation errors aren't due to 1. ignorance, 2. neglect (like who
cares attitude), and 3. degradation of the English language....although,
the latter is coming about quickly!

Night all.
Dee
