Naturally, the blasted thing starts working again as soon as I've posted
the message!
I suggest you all print out the instructions for future use, unless you
have the patience to wait for it to resolve itself each time.
Nicholas, your messages weren't deleted, I think.
For anyone who's wondering what this is all about, Yahoo sometimes has
a problem keeping up with the postings. It seems to store all the new
posts in some sort of buffer (stop me if I'm talking nonsense here),
which is usually updated automatically, I imagine.
If you attempt to click on the messages that appear in the "Home" window,
it opens the page with messages 1-40 (hmmm - I don't need to tell most
of you that, I guess). If you display "Messages" it seems to return to
the state of play before the previous update.
My guess is they have some sort of scanning software that periodically
throws a wobbly. I hope they haven't applied for a patent for that,
because it's a pile o' cack!
Neil - who knows nothing about Yahoo, and is guessing, so please correct
him...
