>You recall the first day Sesame Street came on the air.

I'm not quite *that* old, but I do remember some of the "lost" early
characters like Herbert Birdsfoot, Molly the Mail-carrier (played by
Charlotte Rae), orange Oscar, brown Grover, *Little* Bird, Sam the Robot,
and the ever-narcoleptic Professor Hastings, who made Professor Binns
look like Carl Sagan. (I can just imagine Hastings teaching Defense
Against the Dark Arts!).

For me it was the Carol Burnett Show.

Yes! And my fanatically patriotic 2nd grade teacher didn't help...

>The Fisher Price People were your friends, and you were astonished when
>they came out in plastic!

I never forgave them for giving the Fisher Price People arms and legs!

>Sid and Marty Kroft shows on Saturdays on ABC were one of your

I'm so mad because Rhino Video has come out with *four* H.R. Pufnstuf
tapes but only *one* of Lidsville! (I'm also a big Bugaloos fan
who's praying that the rumors aren't true that Britney Spears will play
Joy in the movie!)

>You remember being excited by Barnaby, Romper Room, and

rocked!

I'm a big Mister Rogers fan -- I even remember when Lady Elaine Fairchild
flew to Jupiter, long before _Voyager_ and _Galileo_. I also loved _Zoom_.
