As a huge fan of Saturday morning cartoons in my day...who can forget
Smurfs, Schoolhouse Rock, Thundar the Barbarian, or Dungeons and Dragons?

As for the Harry Potter cartoon...my personal feeling is that it couldn't
be about Harry...or at least, it couldn't just re-tell the stories of
the books...the movies will do that. The cartoon would have to:

1. Take place in the Harry Potter universe (at Hogwarts, different
characters, same facts and some overlapping players...sorta like Star
Trek Deep Space 9 was to Next Generation...same world, different players).

2. Pick up the thread where the books leave off after year 7. Of
course...we would have to wait until this book was published before
doing so.

3. Harry Potter cartoon "prequel" ala Star Wars Episode one. Again,
same universe, same facts, same rules, just before the story we know.

That's just my two knuts.
