I don't know what half these things mean, either!

But <g> means 'grin'

<bg> - I think, is 'big grin'

and I just learned BRB means 'be right back'!

It all reminds me of a secretarial ad that used to run over here:

"If u cn rd ths u cld mk a gd sctry" or something like that.
