I, too, am very sorry the Scholastic types changed the Briticisms
(ok,, so I just coined a word) in the Harry Potter books. When I was a
kid and read a book published in the UK I either looked up unfamiliar
words or figured it out by the context. I always enjoyed learning new
phrases/words. It was part of the reason I loved to read.
