Hi:

Well, as vindicated as my Christian allegory theory will be if Harry dies
at the end of Book 7, I don't really think that will happen. Not so much
because it's a "children's book" ("Where the Red Fern Grows" is about
the saddest book there is and it's definitely a children's book). And,
besides, Book 7 won't really be targeted at the 9-12 audience anymore,
will it? At some point, isn't everyone going to have to acknowledge
that the intended audience has aged, at least somewhat (maybe even be
considered adult)?

Oh, so back to Harry dying (before running off on a wild tangent) --
I don't see that happening. I can't really articulate why, other than
things that JKR has said would not lead me to imagine that scenario. The
last word in the last chapter of Book 7 is supposedly "scar." If true,
how do you think that might be used if Harry were dead? Conversely,
how might it be used if he were alive?

I haven't come up with too much in that regard, but lots of you guys
are more creative than I am. My vote is that Harry does not die at the
end of Book 7. [Besides, if he did, how's he going to marry Hermione &
live happily ever after?? <vbg>]
