Hi:

<>>>And the book ends with an open-casket funeral,...<<<<

<<<I don't know why, but by the time I finished reading this, I was
giggling -- did you mean this to be tongue-in-cheek?>>>

I was too -- sorry Catlady if you meant it to be serious. A bit
melodramatic. <g> Plus, I'd be willing to bet that open casket funerals
are a uniquely American thing. Perhaps our UK friends can confirm this.

I just don't see Harry dying at the end of the series. I think Dumbledore
is teaching him things bit by bit to help in what will be a large
confrontation between good & evil at the end of Book 7, but I don't
think Harry will perish in the battle. I think important people will
die along the way (and of course JKR has all but said this as she said
the books will get darker). My bet is that Hagrid dies in Book 6 or 7
and that Dumbledore will die in Book 7. I really don't imagine any of
the main 3 dying though (perhaps it's my pollyanna world view again) --
not even Ron (as in PoU).

But, if Harry does die at the end of the series, I will likely gloat
forever at the vindication of my Christian allegory theory. <g>

Penny
