this ghost speculation makes me wonder....in the first book, while
Harry, Ron, etc. are waiting to be sorted, a whole bunch of ghosts enter
the room. I think it says that dozens of ghosts, or twenty ghosts, or
something, I forget exactly. The point is, where do all those ghosts
come from?
 Later in the book it seems that there are not very many ghosts at
 Hogwarts -- each house has a ghost, and there is Moaning Myrtle, but
 JKR never talks about other ghosts, except the ones that come from
 other places to go to Nearly Headless Nicks deathday party.
