Have you read every website, club, newsgroup, etc. associated with Harry
Potter; designed 12 crossword puzzles; read each book so many times you
practically have them memorized; written pages and pages of fan fiction;
bought every book you can find that is vaguelly similar to HP [and so
many of them come from the childrens section of the bookstore that the
clerks are starting to look at you funny] and can't figure out what else
to do with yourself until July 8? Here are some suggestions:

1. Speculate on parts of the first 3 books which have not been
explained. Despite the tremendous amount of speculation on the various
websites and groups, there remains a number of topics which are still
untouched. For example, what are the 12 uses of dragon blood? [In case
you dont remember, on Dumbledore's card in the Chocolate Frog, it says he
is famous for discovering them. On some website somewhere it is rumored
that one of the 12 uses is oven cleaner.]

2. List all the mythical creatures you have ever heard of -- elves,
dwarves, fairies, ghosts, dragons, hobbits, trolls, etc. -- and figure
out how many of them show up in the Harry Potter books.

3. Decide which 2 of the 5 electives -- Care of Magical Creatures,
Divination, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Muggle Studies -- you would take
in your third year at Hogwarts. Write a page or two about why.

4. Read Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone in another language. It's
time to dig out that French grammar book from high school or that copy of
501 Spanish verbs. Not only is it a way of rereading the first HP book,
but you can pretend it is educational!

5. Go to thrift stores to shop for your costume for all the midnight
July 7 parties. Try to get all the pieces of your costume only at thrift
stores; going to costume stores is too easy. [Although the pointy witch
hat is pretty hard, you may have to make it yourself]

6. Use architectural software to design your version of Hogwarts. Don't
forget the turrets!

Well, folks, that's all I can come up with right now. I'll try to have
more suggestions by tomorrow, that is, if they don't lock me up first!
