I was pretty convinced by your arguements, which was roughly my point of
view. I however was looking for someone who was 'wrong' for Hermione and
similarly for Draco. To me there seems as if there would be no chance
for those getting together.

Having said that I am not sure if Draco actually is against muggle
born wizards or not. To me it seems as if he was just doing what he
dad expected of him. He had recently gained his place on Slytherin's
quidditch team by his dad buying of the brooms. This would mean that,
at that time, he would do whatever Lucius wanted to keep this good will
going. Especially as Lucius was a school governer and so has some control
over what happened at Hogwarts.

Also, from Draco point of view, someone like Hermione would be considered
totally inappropiate as girlfriend. For a young teenager such a strong
opposition can prove to be attractive. Rebelling against the authority
or parents etc...

get together!
