Here's a question:

Since some of us (myself included) have gone to amazon.co.uk (or other
sources) to get the "British" versions of the books, would you recommend
getting the British versions of the audio books? I mean, can you imagine
a BRIT doing the accents (which I, too, loved - being a linguist, it's
just um..... music to my eyes? ears? hehehe)? Here's my problem... I
look at the price of the American audio books and cringe... would I be
willing to pay the extra for the "real thing"?

Jen

ps. I am a member of a reading "salon" (club) consisting of fellow
instructors (and some of their friends) at the college I teach for, and
my choice was the first Harry Potter book. Here's the breakdown of the
fors/against: English teachers = against. Everyone else = for. Well, with
two exceptions, and they're both fuddy duddies. ;) Anyway, one of the big
gripes among almost everyone is that they "Americanized" the books in the
first place. Does the American editor really think our kids are that dumb?

Me again.
