I think that's a good point that maybe Trelawney's alleged accurate first
prediction might have had something to do with Harry being a threat to
Voldemort. Although . . . it wouldn't be entirely fulfilled yet as Harry
is still only 13 when we last left him. So, could Dumbledore be saying
that she accurately predicted Harry as a threat to Voldemort at this
point? Depends on how you look at it I guess. I guess he *had* already
stripped Voldemort of virtually all power and life, which he (Harry)
accomplished as an infant. He had also slipped through Voldemort's grasp
twice since then (ages 11 and 12).

I *do* think that Voldemort wanted to kill infant Harry because he *knew*
(or had heard predictions that) Harry would one day grow up to threaten
his power. Remember, Harry asked Dumbledore why Voldemort wanted to
kill him in the first place (when Harry had learned that his mother
was *only* killed because she tried to stop Voldemort from getting at
Harry). Dumbledore declined to answer and answered only that Harry would
know the answer one day when he was older. I think it's fairly clear that
Harry has a destiny to fulfill -- a destiny that was foretold earlier
(perhaps when he was born??). A destiny that Voldemort unsuccessfully
tried to thwart.

Also consider that 16 yr old Voldemort (a/k/a Tom Riddle) already knew
that Harry would one day be a threat to him. So when was this prediction
made I wonder??
