I'm not sure I've ever heard (or read) Mr. Popper's Penguins, but speaking
of reading aloud in the third grade... That's when my teacher read us
A Wrinkle in Time (and when I started liking her). LOVE that book, and
definitely recommend it to HP fans. As well as the 3 companion books
(make sure to read them in the correct chronological order - it makes
more sense... A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, Many Waters, and A
Swiftly Tilting Planet). Hrm.... the Dahl books are good (don't forget
The BFG, although I think Matilda is my fave), I have all but the last
OZ books, and um..............
(I'm a big collector of children's literature - but mostly I have a lot
of Alcott and L.M. Montgomery. Now that I have a little girl of my own,
I've been collecting all the books I loved when I was young to let her
read later.)
It seems to me that I'm forgetting a particular book that I think all
of you would absolutely love, but.... darnit! It just won't come to
mind. If I remember it, I'll let you know.

(and future HP fan Ginger)
