My understanding is that it could be delayed as far as into 2001. I
don't know why.

I am truly incredulous that this lawsuit is being taken seriously at
all. God, her attorney must be desperate! I have looked at her website
and she strikes me as simply a jealous, narrow, wannabe who never got
anywhere with her writing and is driven by this deranged bitterness
toward Rowling. Her claims are absurd.

I would lvoe to talk about this one with someone who really knows
copyright law. I have been doing my own research and from what I
understand, you CAN'T copyright a WORD and reserve it for your own use--
just your unique literary creation. A trademark is not the same thing
as a copyright. Also, she didn't even register her trademark until the
year 2000. She has also said many things about Rowling which are untrue.

Sounds like a frivolous lawsuit to me! Hey you lawyers out there! WHY
IS THIS CASE GOING ANYWHERE???
