stories there that you think are worthwhile.......

Here's how I muddled through. There's a thing near the top of the window
that lets you choose how the stories are sorted: by title, by author,
by date of entry, and by rating. Sort the stories by author, then read
a shorter piece by each author (I know, it's still a lot). That way,
you get a general sense of the author's ability, and you can read the
longer pieces. I tend to avoid any "songfic" or poems... simply because
I'm just looking for stories. It may help if you also limit the list to
one of the categories, i.e., romance (I'm such a sap), humor, action, etc.

Just off the top of my head, there are a couple of authors that are okay -
Quaxo - she's pretty good - and Katie Bell. Those are the only two names
that stick out right now. Quaxo's even better if you're a Snape fan.

Hope you find something you like. There are some stories worth reading
in there, but then again, if you ask my husband, he'll say that he only
hears me complaining that "I read this horrible piece of trash today -
ugh - I couldn't even get halfway through it!" ;)

Ps. I was reading one - 'tis very short - entitled Hermione's baby or
something, and it's got Hermione and Harry living together in their own
room (on campus) during their last year - and Hermione's pregnant. What
does that say to you about kids these days? Does it seem commonplace to
them for a girl to be pregnant (and happy about it!) at age 17??? *I*
was just shocked - but then again, I guess I'm a prude.

Me again.
