For everyone worried that Rowling stole Stouffer's
trademarked term, "Muggles", here is a web site listing a
vast assortment of places where the term Muggle appears:
http://www.geocities.com/harrypotterfans/muggles.html

At least two of them are registered trademarks, neither of which
belong to Ms. Stouffer. One is for a doll (this could make for some
interesting legal issues for the Harry Potter toy makers) while the
other is a restaurant in California. If you wondered why her site is
called http://www.realmuggles.com try visiting http://www.muggles.com.

For me, the most interesting is that Muggles appears in the Oxford
English Dictionary as having three different definitions. Two are archaic
English. One is as a slang expression for marijuana and marijuana
users. For me, that explains a lot. Muggles are dopeheads. No wonder
they don't have any magic in them. They're stoned.

Hmm. Does that mean Harry Potter has an anti-drug message?
