Subject: Interesting rumor regarding the lawsuit

I found this at the Unofficial Harry Potter Fan Club's news page:
"Kate informs us: There is a rumor that Nancy Stouffer has or will drop
the law suit on JK Rowling. Due to the amount of letters and e-mails
from at least 600 people, she has finally given up the battle of the
authors. "Nancy Stouffer has had a lot of presure from numerous people
about the lawsuit," says a anonymous person working on the legal terms
of the lawsuit, "she is just a person who is standing up for the rights
of her book, but the author she's sueing has been on many best seller
lists around the world. Such a situation would put a person in a awkward
position. There is a large possibility she will drop the lawsuit."
Has anyone else heard this? I am glad that Stouffer at least has some
inkling that this is a pointless lawsuit, even if she still does not
appear to get it that nobody is violating her rights and that her ideas
are completely different from Rowlings.
Have people here written in to Stouffer to express their displeasure at
her actions? (Politely, of course!) Perhaps a subtle hint that she is
not earning the audience she desires for her "work" might persuade her.
