<I think that NF's are generally supposed to have the wildest
imaginations, (surely more likely to be attracted to fantasy-type
literature) and I guess that I's are generally more likely to love
reading, so it sort of makes sense that most of us fall into that
category.>

Good call, Morrigan (I made sure this time to get the quote, and quoter
right!).

I think, also, that forums such as this would attract more I's than E's,
with E's preferring the faster pace of a chat room. I suspect the more
active posters are mostly E's, however.

According to "Type Talk" by Otto Kroeger and Janet M. Thuesen, extroverts
are more likely to think aloud and respond off the cuff. This would put
them in their element in a chat room, where everything is in "real time".

Introverts, on the other hand, prefer to formulate and compose wanting it
to be "perfect and final" before it comes out of their mouths (or, in this
case, keyboards). This is deadly in a chat room, where, by the time you've
done this, the conversation has probably turned to something else. In a
message board, on the other hand, you might see a message hours (or days)
after it's been posted. If it's been less than two days, the thread is
usually still active, and your reply will still be relevant. This message,
for example, is being written in chunks, in between calls at work.

Of course, there are other elements at work here, such as when you're
able to be on the Internet and for how long.

To test this theory, I'd like to pose these questions to those who have
taken the MB test:

1) Did you turn up as an E or an I?

2) Suppose you could use the Internet any time you wanted to, for as
long as you wanted. The catch is that you can use either chat rooms OR
message boards, not both. Which would you choose?
