Hi:

I did the online personality quiz (the free one) and then compared it
to the Meyers/Briggs test that I did as part of premarital counseling
about 8 yrs ago. Same result -- I'm ISFJ. That makes me a Hufflepuff
under all 3 definitions -- guess I'm just a "duffer"! I would have put
myself in Ravenclaw though. And canary yellow is my worst color!

I definitely prefer listserves and message boards to chat rooms --
I think that's an interesting observation about the attraction of
different internet groups for introverts & extroverts.

Cover art -- if the NY Times article is correct, then the cover art
is under wraps and that cover on amazon isn't the real one. The more I
thought about it, the more I think it probably *isn't* the cover. I think
Harry is holding the philosopher's stone (okay or maybe a dragon egg,
but something from Book 1 in either case), there is the dementor and
grim/animagus/dog from PoA, and although I don't immediately spot it,
I suspect there's something from CoS there too. I think this is just a
compilation of themes from the first 3 books to create something to put
online (except for the blonde girl, who must be Icicle).

The other covers have, with 20/20 hindsight, given away something of the
final plot (I was too busy devouring the books to pay any heed to the
cover art or illustrations on the first read though). But, point is --
other than the girl who may be Icicle (if she even is going to be a
character), there's nothing *new* in that cover art on amazon.
I still think the guy on the left behind Harry is Snape. He's described
as having greasy black shoulder-length hair, sallow skin, a hooked nose
and menacing eyes. The pre-Azkaban Sirius Black, on the other hand,
is described as handsome. I think, even though he's still on the run,
he'll have cleaned up a bit and look more like his old self when we see
him again. :--)
