Good discussion questions, Neil (clever ID name). Since each has potential
for a different thread, I'll answer them (however I can) separately. BTW,
r yew shur u cen spel? (Just kidding).

I've wondered myself why they haven't brought in new players to the
Gryffindor Quidditch team. After their defeat to Ravenclaw in the first
book (while Harry was in the hospital wing), I'd think they'd at least
want to bring in alternates. Has anyone else wondered how, exactly, they
did play with no Seeker? I can see playing a Chaser short or with only
one Beater. I can even see players taking turns hanging around the goal
posts to cover for an absent Keeper. But the Seeker seems integral. Maybe
one of the Chasers or Beaters played Seeker that day.
