Just some things I noticed:

In book 1 Nick hasn't eaten for nearly 400 years, and then a year later
he celebrates his 500th Deathday.

The numbers don't add up-- at one Quidditch match there are 200
Slytherins, but as someone already calculated there are more like 70
people in each house, unless Harry's year is very small.

Ten points for fighting a troll and then two hundred each for fighting
the Basilisk? Points inflation is happening...

I think there are probably just mistakes along the lines of
ancestor/descendant but MAYBE they mean something...
