(besides, I just got Cheetah Chat so I can Yahoo
Chat in wonderful colors!).
Rita, that's one of my advantages to Yahoo; thanks for reminding me of it! I love my cheetachat. Not only do you get pretty colors, and macros, and etc.... you also can copy the entire chat and have a word file later that someone can access.
(So, should I post over here the few chats that I copied? Grins)
Just a thought. I do like the response via email feature, though. It has spell check! and I don't have to figure out if Outlook Express is going to open another window or not. (I am not opening these in yahoo-mail yet)
:)

Subject: [HPforGrownups] E-groups vs Yahoo
I was already in half-a-dozen e-groups when the only Yahoo Club I
joined was HP4G....
Now there are 5 HP e-group message pages among my bookmarks (plus PoU
Files).
I always read the posts on the web site. I find the Yahoo one easier
to use. While Yahoo doesn't have a SEARCH, e-groups doesn't tell me
what post the post I'm reading is a reply to. The member profiles on
Yahoo are much better than the ones on e-groups, and I am always
irritated by the way that e-groups conceals all @dresses (with the
noble intention of protecting us from Spam), and I LIKED being
Catlady de Los Angeles ....
Tim just started an new e-group last week (for his science fiction
fan friends) and they tried to use the chat room provided by e-groups
and reported that it was utterly slow and generally a pain. The only
chats I've ever been in are the HP4G Yahoo chats, and that chat room
seems to work fine (besides, I just got Cheetah Chat so I can Yahoo
Chat in wonderful colors!).
