I killed the option to "receipt" messages not soon after opening my mailbox today. It kept receipting myself too! and that got annoying. As for format of my messages, I haven't a club. I keep getting different formats each time I hit reply--I think it might be outlook express? One of the differences between yahoo and egroups....lol.
Sorry about bugging folks.

Hi everyone --
Looks like more & more of us are migrating over to egroups. I think
this is going to work very well. Several things --
1. I just made Melanie a co-Moderator as she was with Yahoo.
2. Smitster (Paul) pointed out to me that the default egroups
setting
is to only allow 100 messages per group per day. Something to do
with
spamming. This can be increased by contacting Customer Support, and
I
have contacted them. But, it may be 1-2 days before they get it
changed. So, some of the messages that people post later today may
get moved to tomorrow? I'm not sure. I don't know if they just die
or if they go into a queue & get sent tomorrow.
3. Smitster is also working hard to get all our Yahoo messages
archived at a separate egroups site. It's not created yet, and we'll
let you know when it's ready for access. You will be able to go
there
& search the old messages but it won't allow anyone to post anything
new there.
4. You may notice that I've added some legal mumbo-jumbo to the
group
description since yesterday. Heidi & I (both lawyers) had been
discussing the need to have this language so that we can create the
FAQs. We also thought we needed it over on Yahoo and were about to
discuss the issue when we made the call to move over here. We needed
it even more at Yahoo because we needed to be able to legally move
the
messages over from Yahoo to a separate site. Hopefully, noone will
have any real concerns with this, but if you do, Heidi stands at the
ready to answer your questions.
Sidenote to Melanie -- Heidi & I will email you something to house at
the Club FAQs section. These pages will need some modification also
to reflect that we're no longer a Yahoo Club. Whenever you have time
though.
5. Dee (GypsyCaine) -- I have a favor to ask. Please turn off your
email feature that causes me to have to send you a message everytime
I
open one of your messages. Please. Thanks. <g> Some of your
messages are also coming through in some weird format, but that may
be
something to do with my browser. Is anyone else having difficulty
reading Dee's messages?
Okay, I think that's all the admin stuff for the moment. It may take
awhile to get everything organized, but I think this will be a
better
place for us to be.
Penny
