random ramblings before my "sabbatical"

Dear friends,
As the school year rapidly approaches, I find myself hyperventilating 
at the thought of all the work I have to do <exaggerating slightly>.
I am afraid that I will have to take a brief sabbatical from this 
lovely group to get myself in gear.  :(
Before I go, however, here are some brief thoughts based on some past 
messages.  I know I'm probably breaking some rules doing this, but I 
want to conserve messages.
1.) BANKS:  Neil mentioned the fact that the wizarding world has only 
one bank, Gringotts.  Does anyone else think that there could be 
Gringotts branches throughout the world, just as muggle banks have 
branches?  Also, if Hermione can have muggle money changed into 
wizard money (book 2, I think), then can Harry do the opposite and 
have some spending money for his time at the Dursley's?
2.) MOVIE:  Is anyone else worried about Emma (Hermione) and Rupert 
(Ron)'s lack of acting experience?  They have both acted in school 
plays, but that's it...
3.) AGES:  When I mentioned that my sister dated a 26-year-old when 
she was 18, Melanie mentioned that this was probably not as bad as 
the Hermione/Viktor age issue.  Well, while my parents didn't seem 
affected by it, it put a real damper on the relationship.  In the end 
they had nothing to talk about...they literally came from two 
different 
generations.  
4.) HALF-BLOODS:  Did we ever decide how muggle children figure out 
how to get to Hogwarts?  How do they know about Diagon Alley and owls 
and the like?  
5.) MERCHANDISE:  Is the Hallmark stuff available yet?
6.) DISCUSSION:  Penny, Melanie, are there any open character/chapter 
discussions?
These are just some things for everyone to ponder over.  Hope 
everyone is well.
