We've mentioned this in conjunction with Hermione's hair this week,
right? None of the kids (except perhaps Cho and Cedric) seem to be
picture perfect. They are just regular adolescents with all the
hormonal horrors--gawkiness, teeth that need braces, pug noses, etc.--
that growing up entails.
I have the feeling that Pomfrey only cures health-threatening
maladies, injuries, and the like. Perhaps Dumbledore or the school
rules forbid the use of magic for cosmetic reasons. This way, they
wouldn't have a school full of Britney Spears clones on their hands.
Wouldn't it boring if *everyone* in the wizarding world looked like a
cover model?
