I agree that poltergeists are associated with teenagers, but in this case
I'm wondering whether Peeves is not actually a poltergeist in that sense,
but a manifestation of Dumbledore's id, which roams the castle, keeping an
eye on the place.
Perhaps 'Peeves' is formed from the thoughts deposted in the Pensieve?
Pensieve is, I've just spotted, an anagram of "Peeves in" or "In Peeves".
Is he the embodiment of Dumbledore's spare thoughts? Is Dumbledore's
mischievous side actually the 'Peeves' in him, slipping out now and then?
Neil is still thinking about Dumbledore's behaviour...
