Ok, here goes.
For Outlook Express:
You go to the main screen. See the four windows (at least on mine?LOL), the top one which says FROM SUBJECT RECEIVED.
Which one has the triangle on it? That determines which element affects how your messages are displayed. Mine has the little triangle, pointing upwards, by received. This means, using the HP4GU club emails as examples, that 8-23 is listed on the top of the list, while today's mail, 8-27 is on the bottom. Usually this is enough to make things queue properly (BTW, thanks for helping me with the proper spelling of that word--I have always loved it since I learned about it in Phantom of the Opera, but that's off-topic).
Now for you Yahoo fans, it's a bit harder.
Go to the main page, where the frames offers you the choice CHECK MAIL, COMPOSE, FOLDERS, ADDRESSES, SEARCH, OPTIONS, HELP DESK, SIGN OUT, and etc... Choose Options. Now go to MAIL PREFERENCES.
Scroll down half the page until just after the colors option (where you can add purple to your page, yah, kewl!). There's a colored bar horizontally across the page, then MESSAGE ORDERING. Choose Ascending, and "dot" it. There. Now scroll down and click SAVE. ALL DONE! :)
The other mail services (Regular Outlook, anything with the wacky Netscape, Eudora) I can't help you with, no experience.
I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! I use email option on all my clubs, and I put these in place right after I signed up, when I discovered I was confusing myself.
GOOD LUCK!
:)

I'm just as technically challenged (if not more so). I could use the
instruction on how to make this change. I checked all Preferences in my
email program (Netscape), and it's just not there. Help!
