I play in a Lands-of-Adventure:Japan frp campaign that had already 
been going on for ten years when I joined it fifteen years ago (and 
I, at 42, was the youngest player until Kay's daughter Vicki 
recently joined) and the Player Characters include a White Fox 
(male) who is a messenger from Inari, *several* cats (one of whom, 
Cinnabar, made the great statement: "it's a trap, let's go in it!"), 
and a 'badger', whom SMITHSONIAN magazine says is really a 
fruit-dog.
