Copyright is, I believe, owned by Yahoo in the collective chat database,
although of course each person owns their own lines, so we may have to get
Yahoo permission. I will look thru their site to see if it's granted anywhere.
Otherwise, we need to give everyone notice (or at least make it possible for
people to get notified) that we're logging the chats & will post/archive
portions thereof, or the whole kit-n-kaboodle.
I saw that she gave notice during the chat - maybe doing that every 15 minutes
would be a good idea ( don't know how often it was) so everyone gets told - or
if there's some way to use Cheeta to automate telling everyone when they enter,
that would be all you need (other than the yahoo owns copyright portion)

I was thinking about this as well while listening to the Azkaban tape for the
first time today - he's very very observant, in that he watches everything to
figure it out (although he does blunder sometimes) but apart from his little
questioning sessions of Hagrid & Ron in book 1, Riddle in book 2 and Sirius &
Remus in book 3, pretty much doesn't ask people stuff (other than Ron &
Hermione and sometimes Hagrid & occasionally Dumbledore) - which was an issue
in Book 4, when CrouchMoody expected him to ask everyone how to survive
underwater - but he didn't - he struggled to get hte answer himself.

I am a big broadway & disney buff myself, and have been listening to my cds
these days with an ear towards both a stage version of HP and the soundtrack
for the movie - I can see Warner Bros doing something like they did for the
recent Batman movies (bad films, interesting soundtracks) and choosing 2-3
artists who are very popular with people in different generations to do the
songs which are released as singles - or they could ask a british boys group
like Boyzone (are they still together) to do the title song. As long as they
don't choose a woman from north america (I'm thinking Celine Dion, Brittney,
Christina, Mandy or Jessica here) it can't be too terribly horrible. Well,
unless they ask a spice girl (I liked them together, just not apart).
Basically, if I was doing this, I would just ask Charlotte Church to sing a
bunch of songs from various writers who write good songs (thinking of Elvis
Costello, Randy Newman, Sting, Neil Finn, Alan Menkin, Tim Rice, Elton
John/Bernie Taupin).

On a realaudio note, Peg, it would be great to see some of those links. And I'm
glad to've brightened your day! You've made some of my husband's and mine
brighter too - while we were studying for the florida bar, when we really
needed it!

On a contest note, do you all think they'd accept an entry from my 1 year old
son (well, he'll be 13 months old then) - he's under 18, they didn't give any
minimum age, and if the harry potter books didn't exist, he'd be named Holden,
so to that extent it's changed his life. Plus, they're the first chapter books
which were ever read to him - mind, he was 2 weeks old when we started, so I
don't think he remembers them, but he does know who Harry POtter is from the
book covers and the postyers of the books we have hanging in his room.
