That's the judge who is presiding over the Nancy Stouffer litigation (she's
the woman who claims trademarks in the term MUGGLES and in Larry & Lilly
Potter, etc.).
When I read the ruling last week where he refused to dismiss the case, I
decided to check him out a little - turned out to be easier than I thought!
He used to be a partner in the lititgaiton department of the New York City
office of Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelson.
My husband used to be an associate in the lititgaiton department of the New
York City office of Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelson. And yes, he worked on
a few cases for Judge Schwartz.

And here's his take:
He's basically a good guy, great litigator, used to be in charge of the
Baseball Commission in NYC under Ed Koch, so he's more of a democrat than a
conservative, politically.He also has a great baseball memerobillia
collection
He's a real stickler for following the rules, and he has a better-than-basic
grasp of intellectual property issues.
When I see another of aaron's friends in NYC in 2 weeks, I will find out
more - she stayed at proskauer a few years after he left, and would be able
to tell me more.
