Hurrah! I think he'll be good, personally.

Noo! Anything but, please... :-)
I think the best bet would be to stick to a traditional,
no-words-but-nice-tunes background music - if they go for the
"pop" route, sure, they'll please all the 8 year olds but
they'll majorly annoy a lot of other people. Me, for one. (And
that's all I care about, after all). :-)

That would have been cool, actually.

But not to a lot of people in between, which I believe must make
up a significant amount of HP's audience? Or am I on my own
here. :-).
Of course, target markets and all that, they'd probably be
pretty safe with someone like Boyzone, as the parents are going
to go see it with the kids anyway, and the dedicated fans aren't
going to be put off by the music.
Am I making any sense?

I actually wrote a song - two songs - about HP people, because
I'm kinda sad like that. ;-). One of them, "Thirty Pieces of
Silver", is about Sirius in Azkaban, and the other, "High
Windows" (thanks, Blaise), is about Neville... the lyrics aren't
exactly totally explicit, but that's what I had in mind when I
was writing them. I'll see if I can put them back up on the net
at some point, as I had to delete them due to lack of space...
Oh, and I'm 17 and therefore am eligible for the contest - could
someone pass me the link, as I've lost it...
