If you want to read PoU or ASA (chapter 7 ooh I'm waiting too) you can also
try ff.net and do a search for the titles. www.fanfiction.net
Yesterday I borrowed "Holes" by Louis Sachar (another frequently
recommended book for HP lovers) from the bookstore where I work but haven't
started it. I'm currently reading "A Walk in the Woods" by travel
narrative Bill Bryson, whose stuff is so funny that I may just blow a gut
laughing. This particular book is about his experience walking the
Appalachian Trail...which for our British friends is a 2100 mile hiking
trail extending from George to Maine that people frequently attempt to
traverse the entire length of.
