This borders on being off topic, but I was pleasantly surprised to
find out that I had been to this part of London when I took a trip
there last spring break (my first visit to England). In fact, it was
just a block or so from Leicester Square that I was the victim of an
attempted mugging (muggling?). Two young men asked me to lend them a
pound and as I had my wallet out they saw the ten pound note inside
and tried to grab it. I resisted and held on even as they hit and
kicked me; I'd like to say I fought them off, but the fact is, the
reason I was able to make my excape was thay they just seemed to give
up and let go after only about a minute. Would it be farfetched to
suppose that some friendly wizard was passing by in the crowd on the
way to Diagon's Alley, saw me, and cast an anti-muggle charm on my
attackers, making them remember an urgent appointment they had
elsewhere?
