You have to be very careful when looking at Amazon.co.uk for prices of these
things. Amazon import the US version (the Dale version) as well as selling
the UK version (the Fry version). Imported editions will cost more
generally.
Take Philosophers Stone, Audio Book for example:
Children's Edition
Tape: 19.79 http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1855493942/
CD : 33.19 http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1855496704/
Adult Edition
Tape: 19.79 http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1855494981/
Jim Dale's version
Tape: 26.52 http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0807281182/
So as you can see... for one story, there are 4 possible choices from
Amazon.co.uk
The difference in prices can be seen clearly... if it's on CD it's more
expensive. If it's imported, it's more expensive.
Hope that clears that one up.
Nick.
