I was just wondering this afternoon why Harry has no grandparents on 
his mother's side. Did Petunia murder her parents for saying that her 
little baby was too fat?

One of my few happy memories from elementary school is a third grade 
teacher who read aloud to us from JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH each 
afternoon. She was able to get us to behave by threatening to 
deprive us of the daiy reading. One day we had a substitute, and we 
all told the substitute so firmly that she must read the day's 
excerpt to us that she did. But she was so bad at reading aloud, at 
least compared to our regular teacher, that we told our regular 
teacher just to pick up where she had left off before going sick.
