Hogwarts is not a traditional British school however and Dumbledore
might be a very progressive headmaster.
Our local secondary school put together a year book a couple of years
ago after many requests from the final year pupils but it was not as
popular as had been anticipated because it turned out rather
expensive. I'm not sure if they did it again. I don't think that
cost would be a problem at Hogwarts.
They may have a whole school photo taken every couple of years. Now
that was great fun. Everyone is arranged in semi-circular rows (and
this would include the caretakers as well as teachers and pupils) and
a slowly rotating panoramic camera is used. It was possible to make
yourself appear on the photo twice without resorting to magic. All
you had to do was to ensure you were at the end of one of the rows
and as soon as the camera moved off you you run round the back to
join the other end.
