I see the point about the 100 messages - I had never had cause to 
check those guides out before -  and I checked my most active list - 
looks like our highest daily figure was about 89, in our most active 
month which had 1172 messages.
However, I still think this Daemon response is an indication of a 
problem at somebody's receiving end - it comes back to people who
have 
posted messages, and all other versions of 'problem at receiving end 
sending an error message to sender' that I have ever seen in some 5 
years of emailing on lists,  do not interfere with posting a message 
either.
